It is believed that a light can never be hidden, no matter how long it take's. The State Commandant of Peace Corps Of Nigeria, Cross River State Command who is committed to the encouragement of high accomplishments in the society was honoured with Honorary Doctorate Degree (HONORIS CAUSA) in Public Administration by the Jacksonville State University, Alabama, U.S.A through the National Chronicles.

The convocation was organised on the occasion of National Chronicles Annual lectures series held in Abuja. At the ceremony, Okweche Dominic was also conferred the best most outstanding and visionary Commandant of the year award 2017.

In receiving the award, Okweche stated that " I am honoured by the award of Honorary Doctor Degree (Honoris Causa) in Public Administration and the Most Outstanding and Visionary Commandant of the year award 2017, I assure you that I will do my best not to disgrace the award.
I also want to use this medium to dedicate the award to the National Commandant of Peace Corps of Nigeria, Amb.(Dr.) Dickson A. O. Akoh for his mentorship. He added.
