Duru Eunice Owerri Based Blogger Molested and Humiliated in Public By SARS

*Imo State based Blogger Duru Eunice Adaku said she had an ugly experience with men believed to be members of the Special Ant Robbery Squad SARS in Owerri and it is something no woman would wish to have.*

Adaku who said she was on her way back from a party with her friends at about 11:50pm Saturday, April 28, 2018, recalled that the officers flagged down the cab carrying them around Chukwuma Nwaoha, MCC Road Owerri, Imo State.

She said that when the driver parked, the officers who were carrying guns without uniform, asked everyone to come out of the vehicle and they obeyed only for them to ask her to pour out the contents of her bag.

Duru Eunice Adaku operates www.quingist.com

"He asked everyone to come down, we all did. He asked me to turn my bag upside down and I refused, I suggested to bring the things inside one by one, and he slapped me. I asked why and he started kicking me with his boot. When I told him to stop that I am a blogger, he beats me the more and also started calling me abusive names, ashawo (prostitute), stupid girl etc", Adaku who operates www.quingist.com said.

She said, her friends watched helplessly as the officers molested her and they couldn't do anything because the officers could not be identified with anything as they were not on uniform.

"I had to run out on him, but I can remember his face anytime anywhere. But they are not wearing uniform and I could not take photos. I need to speak out because this must surely stop. See how our so called law enforcement agents are safeguarding us. See how they brutalize innocent citizens and harassing our ladies", she said in tears.

SARS officers have recently come under attack because of their ugly activities in Imo State and other parts of the county and recently one of them who is now standing trial was caught on camera taking N10,000 bribe from a blogger in Owerr.

WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW ABOUT EFIOANWAN NSEFIK PUBLISHER “EARLY MORNING MOTIVATION.”

Early morning motivation is an inspirational idea and page that has been running for quite some years now. It is aimed at equipping people with the needed words of wisdom triggering them to act accordingly for best results. The conceiver of this fast rising platform is a lady, one important to know and a force to reckon with. Is she interesting? I don’t know but hey that’s what I intend to find out so hang in there as we get started. INTERVIEWER’S 1ST QUESTION: Hello Ma, I must say that you are quite a charmer. What’s your name? INTERVIEWEE: Thank you very much. My name is Efioanwan Nsefik fondly called Efi or Oluwaefi. INTERVIEWER’S 2ND QUESTION: Okay Efioanwan, May we know you more? INTERVIEWEE: I am a young ambitious lady, totally committed to the cause of success. I am the 5th in the family of 7. A child of Eld. & Eld. Mrs Edem Nsefik. A native of Akpabuyo Local Government Area of Cross River State – Nigeria. Single but not searching and I’m told that I am a nice person. INTERVIEWER’S 3RD QUESTION: As regarding being single and not searching, that means you are hooked. Could that be true? INTERVIEWEE: Hmmm! Abasi ibom ke eyong. Oga, whatever you second guess, may it work for you accordingly but I know what love is and being loved (Laughs). INTERVIEWER’S 4TH QUESTION: Having known these about you, what is your notion in life? INTERVIEWEE: Yes! The way I see life is different from how others see it. It goes in tandem with my composed quote that says “LEARN YOUR LESSONS OR YOU’LL BE TAUGHT AGAIN.” What I mean by that is that life has a way of bending us, teaching us and making us better persons. It is the thought of feeling smart and neglecting lessons that hurts. Avoid being taught again, be life’s good student(s) and learn. INTERVIEWER’S 5TH QUESTION: That was quite touching, Thank you. But If I may ask, now that you are 28 years, how well or how fair has your life been and can you describe life over the past years? INTERVIEWEE: First of all, I can vehemently say that my life has been fair enough but if it exceeds fair to being well lived then someone should attest to that. I have seen the storms though it’s not finished because more years awaits me but still I’ll conquer. I have tasted life’s sweetness but only after taking its bitter pill. So to me, Life is one surprise package that we never know what’s next. Take it, live it, be strong and hold on. Above all, always believe in yourself. INTERVIEWER’S 6TH QUESTION: Wow… Okay! Let’s talk about your likes and dislikes. What are they? INTERVIEWEE: Alright! My likes are the below qualities in a person: Dedication, Respect, Loyalty, Simplicity, Determination, Sincerity, Humility, Care, Love, Trust, Focus and purpose driven individual(s). While I detest lies, cheating, unseriousness (often), Smartness not associated to intellectual capability, pride, arrogance, intimidation, bragging and disrespect etc. INTERVIEWER’S 7TH QUESTION: What are your hobbies? Can you tell us? INTERVIEWEE: Truly speaking, I love listening to good music ( I am quite selective). I love writing and playing games during leisure time. INTERVIEWER’S 8TH QUESTION: Is or are there any weird thing(s) about you? INTERVIEWEE: Well, the fact that I politely withdraw from people and go back to my shell makes people think I am weird. I do this because I meditate most times else inspiration won’t come. Secondly, the fact that I am still shy at some things, (please don’t ask me about them) makes people question my person. Finally, the fact that I rely so much on my instinct because it’s often 90% correct and precise. For all I know, that’s God speaking to me! INTERVIEWER’S 9TH QUESTION: Tell us your favorite fruit and food. Any in particular? If many name them. INTERVIEWEE: My favorite fruits are: 1. Pineapple 2. Apple 3. Water melon while my favourite foods are: 1. Abak soup and garri 2. Afia Efere ye usung abia 3. Coconut rice, jellof rice and fried rice 4. Fisher man stew 5. Indomie and egg etc. INTERVIEWER’S 10TH QUESTION: That was a long one especially the native delicacies shows that you are a true Nigerian. Before we round up Ma, Can you tell us your expectations today as you turn 28 years? INTERVIEWEE: Firstly, I expect more out pour of divine wisdom and inspiration from God as living remains my heritage through Him. I expect birthday cakes, I expect more successes as I labour, I expect text messages flooding my phone and social media pages. I expect birthday songs, radio shout outs and more surprises which has already begun. I expect presents, have fun with friends and end my day in a quiet place where I’ll take a retrospective look at my life and make amends. Weigh the future and go for it. INTERVIEWER’S 11TH QUESTION: Finally, how do you see yourself in years to come? INTERVIEWEE: Well like i already said, I am very ambitious and years from now, I will shake the world. Oh please don’t misquote that to mean violence rather a purposeful one aimed at touching lives and improving people’s livelihood. With my foundation upcoming, Nigerian youths and other youths will be beneficiaries of this great vision. Partners are still needed as I solicit for those willing to contribute their quota. Definitely I will be rich and I am certain that I will lead or be a top government official In my country. Too many dreams right? Well, let’s see how it goes, in God I choose trust. INTERVIEWER: Alright thank you Ma. I feel honored to have you and wish you life’s best today and always. Cross River North Senatorial Seat: Gov Ayade Endorsed Senator Rose Oko's, Says Her Achievements Unequalled

The advocacy for greater participation of women in politics is, increasingly, attracting global consideration. Out of the few known women entrusted with such responsibilities, Senator Rose has proven to be exceptionally outstanding. Younger females must learn from her and for those ones close to her, they must leverage on her mentorship.

This is why modern societies place very high premium on intelligence economy because every craft within the human milieu is the product of human intellect and societies will only boast of advancement and improvement in their cognitive content, if there are notable advancements in their collective intellectual activities. Senator Rose, has made Cross River State very proud through her exploits and achievements. Her sterling record in public service can hardly be equalled.

I think we are in that era where you alone can decipher whatever piece u put out there else, you will be misinterpreted.

In Our Society today, people tend to have this reaction they give to Women who had Attained Some heights in the Society but still not married!

The previous week marked alot of events in my life. From My Birthday, To My Blog's 5Yrs Anniversary and also, My Marital status was one, though choosing that occasion to appreciate someone i hold dear, had generated a lot of reactions but do i care? No but when it has to do with her, i do.

The post which read; *Linda Ikeji's Predicaments Were The Reason Why I Got Married – 23Yrs Old Controversial Blogger, Kisha*
Imo Born blogger and CEO of WWW.AMIBOISLAND.COM Kisha took to her social media handle to share a Seemly encrypted Message on the reason behind her rush into marriage especially when it seemed that her brand was on the Apex of Fame.

Ahead of her Blog's 5yrs Anniversary, She also went further in revealing how what she tagged Linda Ikeji's Predicaments influenced her decision to get married…Read below;

"Love is a very beautiful thing. Some say it can only be felt but I doubt it".

When you are caught up, You are caught up. You See it happening to you yet you can't help it!

You climb the highest mountains and still ask if it would hurt when you fall from there? Lol…Yes That is a Perfect Example of what it does to people!!!

Saw My Name in the Stars! Thence, I could Read The Future & What I Holds Perhaps.

Oh, Sands Of Time! Enough With the parables but I could at least reflect while I reminisce!!!

I was the issue of the Moment, i was Likened Like One fellow, thence some said I followed her footsteps but I knew I could change the story line, "SINCERELY, I DIDN'T WANT TO SUFFER THE SAME FATE AS MY ROLE MODEL HENCE THE HASTE"

YES, "LOVE WON" BUT "LINDA IKEJI'S PREDICAMENTS WERE THE REASON WHY I GOT MARRIED"!
#Happy_5Months_Anniversary_To_Us
#HML

Am grateful to everyone that has supported this journey of a young dreamer. AMIBO ISLAND WILL BE 5YEARS OLD BY 20. It doesn't stop here….We will keep pushing.

*READ BETWEEN THE LINES*
Reacting to the Term 'Predicaments'; Have You ever Imagined Someone Showing Up On Your Page To Abuse The Hell Out Of You, How Will You React? Badly right? Exactly but in her case Some even go to the length of coming to her Blog to abuse her. Many a time, I've stumbled on slandering comments like "Linda Stop posting someone else's husband o, Linda this, Linda that and many More unprintable Words"; To Me, That's unacceptable hence, I ensured that i avoided it completely.

"Using those instances above, None would want such ordeal I presumed hence, I Used her as a reference to call for a societal sanitation to such Myopic, Injudicious and Narrow Minded Views our people have on Successful Women Just Because of their Marital Status but unfortunately, I was Misconstrued".

If been married is Achievement, why then do I still work even twice as hard as I used to? Most Media Platforms even presumed I Am A Rival…Lol. Linda Is Someone I Look Up to. I've Spent My Entire Life Defending. I even Pray for her So How Then Will I cajole her? This is absurd!!!

Wake Up World People, You All Misconstrued it completely. I See No Competition and if At Any Point One comes, "Always Remember That Before We Became Colleagues, We Were Already Sisters and Who knows, she might be the Sister I never had"

SDP Visits Osisioma Foundation.

Leaders of the Social Democratic Party - SDP on Friday, April 20, 2018 paid a special visit to Osisioma Foundation. The visit coincided with the quarterly meeting of the Top Leaders of the Foundation at Awka.

Quarterly meeting of Osisioma Foundation is used to appraise the performance of its numerous humanitarian projects aimed at bettering the lives of our people especially the less privileged and the physically challenged. It is also time when the Foundation reviews its commitments in training of our youths and women in skill acquisitions and vocational jobs.

The Social Democratic Party, is the major political party that's galvanising Nigerians into a political alliance. The party is positioning itself as the 3rd force ahead of the 2019 general elections.

Senator Ebenezer Ikeyina, the National Vice Chairman, Southeast led other top leaders of SDP to the visit.

During the special visit, the Social Democratic Party delegation said they were in Awka to seek cooperation and political understanding with the Foundation.

According to Senator Ikeyina, the SDP came to seek cooperation with Osisioma Foundation because they are convinced that the Foundation has credible political spread in Anambra state and southeast in general.

Responding, the Chairman of Osisioma Foundation, Dr Chike Obidigbo thanked the delegation for finding it worthy to visit the Foundation - which has presence in all the states of the southeast.

Dr Obidigbo informed the visitors that Osisioma Foundation is made up of credible and respected leaders from different professional backgrounds who believe in enthroning competent leadership capable of growing our local economy.

The head, Political Directorate, Osisioma Foundation, Chief Tony Edochie made it clear that Osisioma Foundation due to its grassroot presence has in the past helped build some political associations but that such groups after gaining acceptance failed to carry the Foundation along. He therefore, concluded that the Foundation will be very formal in future political dealings.

After the interaction, the Foundation said it will mandate its political directorate to take a critical evaluation of their request and revert to them.

Other members of SDP that accompanied Senator Ebenezer Ikeyina to the visit were: Chief Ifeanyi Obalum, the November 18, Anambra State governorship candidate of SDP; Chief Nzekwe Ikechukwu, Anambra state chairman of SDP; Barr Okpalaukwu Okpalaezechukwu, immediate past Assistant National Publicity Secretary of Ohaneze Ndigbo among others.

*SCAM AND HIRED CROWD PROTEST AGAINST THE INTEREST OF CRS IN WADATA PLAZA ABUJA*

The protest at PDP national headquarters yesterday Thursday 19th was a scam and not realistic, the crowd was hired and there do not represent the interest of the people of cross river state. Cross river state South, Central and North including all support groups in the state have all endorsed His Excellency our amiable governor Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade for a second term which is our unanimous agreement. Any person or group of persons involved in any protest against the interest of cross riverians is declared as an enemy of cross river State. Meanwhile the full support of HE by the entire state stand stronger than any personal interest. I therefore call the youths and people of cross river state to still maintain the peaceful political stability we are enjoying in the state. Victor Bassey Director General (DG) Voice of Central

Symposium on the recent supreme court judgement on Akpabuyo/ Bakassi Local Government Areas held at African club on the 20th of April,2018

“Bakassi is still in the constitution of the federal Government of Nigeria and is still one of the 774 Local Governments Areas that makes up the nation and so must be reclaimed- Rt. Hon. Ekpo Ekpo Bassey”. Earlier on today, the 20th of April, 2018, a gathering geared at agitating against the recent supreme court Judgement on Akpabuyo/Bakassi Local Government Areas was held at the African club,Calabar. The plights of bakassi people said to include their lost of history and identity also to cope with resettlement for twelve solid years without actual solution, inspired a result oriented deliberation. According to Barr. Tony Eyo – A panelist, said that the recent supreme court judgement on Akpabuyo/Bakassi Local Government Areas had conflicting opinions as the core misunderstanding was the argument between the Cross River State Government and the Independent Electoral Commission of whom should have the powers to create constituencies and upholding the constitution, 112,113 and 114, he expressed that the state has the power to create, alter or counter the creation of constituencies and so to proffer solution, INEC should comply to ensure that the people of Bakassi have their franchise by properly delineating the constituencies between the Local Government Areas involved and for a greater cause both INEC and the Cross River State Government must align themselves. DISCRIMINATION as a disturbing factor has scattered us abroad and where there is no love, there can’t be actual progress. In his words, if Bakassi is defined then Bakassi will be settled. What an average Bakassi man needs is where he can stay. Until he is given one, he cannot be represented–Hon. Bassey Ita Edet. Following his tactical point was a way out from the challenge as Barr. Eyo Ekpo, a panelist adviced a memo be forwarded from those affected and concerned to the State Government and INEC stating thus; I That Bakassi be made a state constituency ii That Bakassi is in need of seven new wards to add to the already existing three namely Ikang North, Ikang South and Ikang central. iii That Akpabuyo which comprise of seven wards have an additional three wards to its number so to comprehensively have ten wards in Akpabuyo and 10 in Bakassi Local Government Areas. Assuring fellow Bakassi people, Rt.Hon.Ekpo Ekpo Bassey said since Bakassi is in the constitution of the Federal Government of Nigeria and is still one of the 774 Local Government areas, it must be reclaimed. The already said led to the unified agreement of indigenes of the Local Government Area to copy letters to the State Government, members representing the constituencies involved, those at the house of Representative and the senate house so to bring an end to the injustice on Bakassi Local Government Area. Dignitaries present were; Chief, Arch. Bassey Eyo Ndem The keynote speaker: Barr. Eyo Ekpo( Formal Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice) Arch. John Etim Bassey, HRH, Sir, chief francis O.
