Senator Bassey assured the people that suitably qualified members of Bakassi extraction will be included in Oil and Gas businesses using his position as a member of the Down Stream Oil Sector Committee of the Senate so that they too can become players in the sector in the near future. Senator Bassey maintained that he has been able to achieve the campaign promises of supporting education, job creation, small scale businesses and entrepreneurial development through his many projects and programmes which have led to the emancipation of the people. He assured the Bakassi people that he will do more empowerment programmers to ensure everyone benefits, as well as inclusion of more women into the scheme of things.
