“ Cross River State, our new agenda will be food on the table, hands on the plough”- Sen. Prof. Sen. Ben Ayade. The governor of cross river state His Excellency Sen. Prof. Sen. Ben Ayade on Tuesday the 10th of April, 2018 signed the state’s budget of 1.3 Trillion naira for Kinetic Crystallization into law at the Cross River executive council’s hall, Governor’s office. The budget which intends to improve the livelihood of Cross Riverians will drive many deep visions of the Governor to reality said the speaker of house Rt. Hon. John Gaul Lebo. He further acknowledged the constitutional power vested on His Excellency Sen. Ben Ayade according to section 120 of the constitution as regarding signing the budget which consists of deficit and envelop budget aimed at the prosperity agenda of 1.3 Trillion Naira only. With the nature of the budget unveiled, Rt. Hon Gaul Lebo with the support of his house of assembly members presented the budget of Kinetic Crystallization worth 1.3 Trillion naira to the people and was followed by a picture session taken with the likes of the Commissioner of Finance Mr. Asuquo Ekpenyong, The chairman Cross River State House of Assembly Finance and Appropriation Committee Rt. Hon. Eteng Jones Williams and the chief protocol officer Mr. Emmanuel Asikpo Okon witnessing the Governor sign the Budget into Law. The governor in a hand shake exchange with the commissioner of finance to cement the act further said that the budget is a great one and in his candid words, he said” it is better to take a huge project and fall than a small project and make it”., that when you are a visionaire, money cannot be an impediment and so a new income pattern must be created for the state to rely on than depend solely on federal Government’s allocation. Yes! We can solve our problems and in two years, most of our major projects will undergo speedy developments even as I envisage the 29th of May, 2018 for the completion of the Pharmaceutical factory (CALAPHAM). We are not politicians but system purifiers to set things straight in Cross River State and no longer will people go to bed on an empty stomach. As a result of these budget and successful completion of the projects, young men will afford getting married and young Cross Riverians will pay school fees as it is expedient that by then, the new agenda will be “ Food on the table, hands on the plough” Gov. Ben Ayade said. Subsequently, in pursuit of God’s favour, the buget was prayerfully presented to God for a successful ending by Rev. Fr. Bob Ettah and in attendance at the epochal event were the following dignitaries; The Governor of Cross River State Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade, His deputy, Prof. Ivara Ejemot Esu, Cross River State House Members, PDP Auditor Arong Divine, secretary to the state governor Mrs. Tina Agbor, Senior special assistants, permanent secretaries, Reverend ministers and others.
