The Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mrs. RoseMary Archibong has extolled the Cross River State Government's Health Policy which established the AYADE HOME CARE – a programme that takes healthcare services to the aged and incapacitated in their homes. Archibong made the statement while presenting a welcome address at the ongoing Professional Development Workshop of the Institute of Health Service Administrators of Nigeria, holding at the Federal Medical Centre, Lagos.
The Information and Orientation boss, who is the National Vice President of the Institute, observed that while the Federal Government was yet to adopt a national policy on the health and welfare of her aged citizens, Cross River State, through the clairvoyant leadership of Senator Ben Ayade, had already blazed the trail. As one of the topics to be examined at the workshop, Mrs. Archibong expressed optimism that the Institute would come up with a strong communiqué to be presented to the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Federal Ministry of Health.
