The Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mrs. RoseMary Archibong, has stated that the recently flagged off 'Operation Crocodile Smile III' at Bakassi will enhance safety in the State's maritime borders and peaceful coexistence among residents of the area.
Mrs. Archibong maintained that with inter-agency cooperation from the military, laudable projects like the soon-to-be-commissioned Bakassi Social Housing Project shall be safe for habitation.
Mrs. Archibong also expressed delight that the 'Operation Crocodile Smile III' presence will ensure the continuity and completion of the Deep Seaport in a crime-free atmosphere.
"With the officers charged with strict adherence to the rules of engagement by the Chief of Army Staff, criminals and criminality will soon be things of the past," Mrs. Archibong concluded.
The Operation Crocodile Smile III exercise which was recently flagged off by Governor Ben Ayade is aimed at beefing up security in an area that had hitherto been plagued with criminal activities like oil bunkering, kidnapping, theft, etc.
