By Kingsley Agim
Cross River State Commissioner for Information & Orientation, Mrs. RoseMary Effiom Archibong has stated that imminent victories for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Senator (Prof.) Ben Ayade, at federal and state levels respectively, will make a perfect leadership tandem for the betterment of Cross River State and Nigeria at large.
Mrs. Archibong who made this comment when the Cross River State Youth for Ayade & Atiku (CRYFAA) campaign team paid her a courtesy visit recently, pointed out that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is intellectually replete, non biased, a believer in industrialization and job creation; and therefore deserves to be the President of this great Nation – Nigeria.
Pointing out the Ayade's Developmental Strides, Mrs. Archibong disclosed that the prospective governance of Atiku in Nigeria and Ayade in Cross River respectively would foster more development and youth involvement in politics.
She expressed delight to the CRYFAA team for the exemplary leadership skills exhibited and assured that the exercise carried out would not be in futility as the Ministry would use its platforms to inform the populace on the need to participate in the electioneering process.
In his remarks, the Special Adviser to Atiku Abubakar on Youth & Strategy, Dr. Ahmed Adamu, disclosed that the purpose of the visit is to request the Ministry's support in creating awareness to the public on the importance of voting.
Adamu described Governor Ayade as a visionary leader, who through his intellectual endowment has reduced poverty and created job opportunities for the citizenry especially widows and youths. He thanked the Commissioner for the hospitable reception accorded the team and wished to re-visit the State for leisure purpose.
Also speaking, the Chief Executive Officer of CRYFAA, Arc. Eric Akpo said his team is rooting for Ayade and Atiku as President and Governor respectively, in order to ensure complementary development for the State and Nation, pointing out that the present national government is bereft of the wherewithal to govern Nigeria and must be voted out.
