SPSP to Partner with PCN Cross River Command on the United Nations International Peace Day

The Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP) to partner with Peace Corps of Nigeria, Cross River State Command to commemorate the United Nations International Peace day scheduled for the 21st of September 2017. This was made known to the Commandant of Peace Corps Cross River State yesterday the 12th of September 2017 when team of society for Peace studies and practice paid a courtesy visit to the command headquarter. Speaking, the Chairman of SPSP, Dr. O.N. Neji said the role of Peace corps over the years has been supportive to the society and SPSP has again come to create a synergy between the PCN in order to help carry the message of Peace to the nooks and Crannies of the State. He further said that the Peace Corps is strategically rooted in almost all the communities across the 18 L.G.A's and by extension, should serve as a fertile body for Peace Crusade. Responding to his speech, the State Commandant of Peace Corps Cross River State Command Patriot Okweche Dominic thanked SPSP Chairman and his team for the timely visit. He said peace is a recognized tool that can facilitate development in any society. He emphasized that the organization is open to any group or persons who are in the bid of bringing lasting Peace to the land as it was at the instance of preaching peace that the organization earned a special consultative status by the United Nations. He assuredly said that the corps will partner with SPSP to commemorate the Peace Day come 21st of September 2017. After all discussions and apt agreement, the peak of the event was disclosed to feature the decoration of SPSP Team with Peace Corps anniversary medals and presentation of Brochure and calendar to them by the Commandant.
