Who is responsible for the Adim and Abini damaged roads in Cross River State? Is it the Federal Government or the State Government?
It is pathetic the number of damaged roads that are in Cross River state, as the day goes by, they get worst. They are nothing to write home about especially the one between Adim and Abini villages.
Road users spend their night in unsecured environment, I mean the traders, travellers and even drivers inclusive. it is enlisted as a federal government road but again it's right to confirm if its truth.
So, an interview with a tanker driver whose identity is withheld said the Governor of cross river state should re- examine his priorities ranging from his giant dream of having a superhighway built in the state to ensuring that the state's present need for a smooth road is achieved even as the federal government is also beckoned on to help considering that a journey of one hour now last six hours which is challenging and time consuming. He mentioned this in an interview session with detailing Cross River. Com and In his words, he also mentioned his encounter with hoodlums who snatched his phone from him. He pleaded for Government to intervene soonest.
Some traders on their path, cried out that their goods are mostly perishable products which gets spoilt on the way due to hold up caused by bad roads.
They advised that road construction contracts be endorsed and given to well trained and competent persons instead of political contractors.
They, however, call on meaningful and right thinking members of the society to plead with the federal government to act fast and save citizens of the stress of travelling on bad roads as those concerned should look into the matter with intent of solving it.
