Mr. Victor Bassey pursued his primary education at Presbyterian primary school Effraya in Etung L.G.A, because of his passion for education he proceeded to Velos Secondary Commercial School in Ikom, Ikom L.G.A. 

Victor later joined University of Calabar to pursue a Bachelor of science in Accounting which he graduated with a flying colour.

Leadership

Starting from primary school, Victor Bassey served as the General head boy in primary school, at secondary school, he was the Sanitary prefect.

Leadership had been his calling, at university, he contested his first election as Secretary of federation of Ekureku Students Unical, that alone propelled him to contest as Assistant Secretary of Faculty of Management Science Unical, because of his Doggedness, he became Senator representing Faculty of Management Science at Students Union Government Parliament.

He also contested as president of Abi Students in the then mother campus, Unical. The only man that broke the history of time and served three tenure as Spirit Head that has never happened then in the history of Unical and also served as Spirit Head of National Association of Cross River State Students ( NACRISS) Worldwide for two years.

Victor Bassey has over 26 awards. He was former Head of Administration to the then member representing Abi State Constituency, presently One of the trusted Appointees of His Excellency, the Digital Governor of Cross River State that double also as SA to the Speaker of Cross River State House of Assembly, serving also as state organizing Secretary, National Youth Council of Nigeria Cross River Chapter (NYCN), State Coordinator Nobel Youths Mobilization Support Association ( NYMSA), and the group that has given him more publicity is Voice of Central, He is the DG, Coordinator Courageous Group, Abi/Yakurr Youth Coalition and More.

Victor Bassey is a Man of capacity, intellect, team player, organiser and a leader per excellent.
