"They're Short-sighted and myopic" - Prof BTO Ikegwuoha Criticises South East Leaders

Crituque of the Governors of SE in the Choice of H. E. Ex-Governor Peter Obi as the running mate of H. E. Alj. Atiku Abubakar by Prof Bernard Thompson Ikegwuoha

They're Short-sighted and myopic! I am disgusted but not surprised that the so-called SE (unelectable) leaders could be so insensitive, callous, jealous, arrogant and temperamental in the manner and approach they adopted in destructively critiquing the choice of ex-Governor Peter Obi as the running mate of H.E Alj. Atiku Abubakar -the presidential candidate of PDP.

These leaders heard and spoke to themselves on this issue and convinced themselves that they have heard Nd'Igbo worldwide and  decided for Nd'Igbo.

Choosing a running mate for any elective office is the prerogative of the principal candidate, for crying out loud.

When will the Igbo man learn?

Imagine that for Eight (8) Years of the Nigerian Senate Presidency (1999-2007), the position rotated from Evans Enwerem (Imo), Adol Nwagbara (Abia),  Chuba Okadigbo (Anambra),  Anyim Pius Anyim (Ebonyi) and to Ken Nnamani (Enugu). But when it was the turn of North Central, David Mark (Benue State)  occupied the office for eight (8) years. And today, Bukola Saraki is almost completing another term of four (4) years, he is from Kwara State (North Central).

What this means is that: when the whistle of the  Igbo presidency is blown, we may be killing, roasting and eating each other as roasted chicken -what kind of God's children   (umu chineke) are we - the so-called African Jews -sorry, African Judas?

This is why all the wrong people are at the right places and the wheel of production has just stopped in the SE and the people are suffering in the midst of plenty and abundance.

Are we that bad?  Every good thing comes to Igbo land to die: good governance and road; schools, industries, factories while the most devilish and evil things have come to stay: kidnapping, armed robbery, 4-1-9, Yahoo-yahoo, rituals for money (Ogwu ego); expo or examination malpractice, sorting of all sorts, etc.
