The State Governor, Senator Ben Ayade has requested for the Assembly's consequential confirmation of Chairmen and Members of the State Forestry, Local Government Service, as well as Sports Commissions.
The House deliberated on the requests which were conveyed by Secretary to the State Government Barr. Tina Agbor before committing it to the House Committee on Judiciary, Public Service Matters, Public Petitions and Conflict Resolution with a mandate to report back within one week.
According to the SSG, Chief Tony Undiandeye is to serve the State Forestry Commission as Chairman while Adim Ekpenyong, Christian Okay, Adah Richard, Adie John Adie, Believe Effiong and Odey Simon Ayuk are to serve as members.
Similarly, Dr. Peter Adigeb, has been norminated to serve as Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission while Darlington Asuquo Eyo, Ofutane Paul Ogar, Uket Obo, Ikok Patrick Ilok and Asama Ekpenyong are to serve as Commissioners.
Those nominated to serve in the State Sports Commission are Emmanuel Elom Chairman, while Ekpenyong Ekanem Ekpenyong, Augustine Egere, Canice Ogar Iduku, Gladys Igut have been nominated to serve as Commissioners.
The Speaker, Rt Hon. Eteng Williams mandated the Committee to do a thorough job while screening the nominees and revert back to the general House within one week.
