With deep sense of sadness but with total submission to the will of the Almighty, the Peace Corps of Nigeria regrets to announce the death of our very own Gallant Officer, an officer of integrity, an Officer who formed the team of Peace Men for the Corps, one who was dedicated to the duty both in good times and times of challenges, one who kept officers together Nationwide, Patriot Jason Akano, who answered the glorious call of the Almighty on 1st July, 2020 after a brief illness.
Until his demise, he was the Assistant National Commandant, Special Duties (ANC SD)

He was buried on Saturday 11th July, 2020.
at Akano's Family Compound, St. Mary's Catholic Church Umuorlu - Isu, Okigwe-Amaraku.

We pray the Lord Almighty grant his family as well as the Peace Corps Family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and we pray the Almighty grant him eternal rest as he has left this world to the great beyond.
Rest in Peace our Pragmatic Patriot Jason Azubike Akano (SD) until we met to part no more on the resurrection morning, we miss you dearly.
May the soul of Patriot Jason Akano, Azubuike and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in Peace, Amen.
