That Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly. RT Hon. Eteng Jonah Williams has applauded the State Governor, Professor Ben Ayade for his continuous efforts at improving the living standard of Cross Riverians.

Williams who was speaking during an interview with Journalists emphasized that Governor Ayade's commitment to regular payment of salaries to Civil servants and Political appointees as well as the exception of taxes for Low-income earners in the State is his way of ensuring that his promise of putting food on the table of Cross Riverians comes  to fruition.
He reiterated that Governor Ayade has also demonstrated commitment to ensuring the well being of Cross Riverians during the Corona Virus Pandemic by insisting that the best way to curb the spread of the virus is to wear face masks.

According to Williams, "He was the first Governor to block the borders, the first to declare no face mask, no movement, the first to demonstrate the use of ankara materials to make face masks and also produce face masks for other States."
