STATE COUNCIL ON PRIVATISATION PAYS FAMILIARISATION VISIT TO MINISTRY OF COMMERCE

The Commissioner for Commerce, Pst.Mrs. RoseMary Archibong, has welcomed members of the State Privatisation Council to her Ministry.
The Commissioner, who is also a member of the Committee, told the group that the task before them is an enerous one that will entail brain storming, travels and research in order to ensure the profitability of the numerous Industries, Palm Estates and other ventures in the Commercial Agricultural hub.
She emphasised the importance the State Government attaches to the State Privatisation Council,noting that Governor Ben Ayade-led Administration has laid solid foundational Industrial infrastructure and is ready to transfer control partially or wholly to private enterprise.She expressed deep appreciation to the Governor, on their appointment.
Earlier, the Chairman of the State Privatisation Council, Mr.John Odo, expressed delight over their appointment stating that council members will work as a team to actualize a common goal set before them.
He appealed that Government, should make available an office space as well as a vehicle that will aid movement to various places of assignment. He further expressed gratitude to His Excellency the Governor, for the confidence reposed on them.
