AYADE ASSURED OF SUPPORT AS ARCHIBONG VISITS WARD BY KINGSLEY AGIM

The State Governor, Senator (Prof.) Ben Ayade has been assured of unalloyed support and a nod for his second term bid by the people of Atimbo West Ward in Akpabuyo Local Government Area. 

The declaration for Governor Ayade to vie for a second term was given during a Happy New Year visit to her constituents by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Barr. (Mrs.) RoseMary Effiom Archibong held recently at Atimbo West Ward.

Speaking on behalf of the Ward, a former Ward Chairman, Mr. Effiom Orok Effiom declared that Atimbo West is all for Ayade come 2019, adding that Governor Ayade’s plethora of appointments and employment is in consonance with his promise to put food on the table of every Cross Riverian.

Mr. Effiom hailed Governor Ben Ayade’s deep vision in transforming the State from its civil service status to a hub of commerce and industry and charged the people of Atimbo West to support the Ayade-led administration with more vigour to ensure that he continues the good work in 2019.

Articulating her views, the Chapter Women Leader of the People’s Democratic Party in Akpabuyo, Mrs. Abigail Duke described the Commissioner’s gesture as bringing “a sense of belonging” to the people of Atimbo West Ward and Akpabuyo by extension, while reiterating her support for Governor Ayade continuity come 2019.

Speaking to newsmen at the event, Mrs. Archibong said the aim of her visit was to felicitate with the people of her Ward for a successful crossover to 2018, describing the turnout as “massive”.

According to her: “It is my delight to be here to wish them a happy new year, tell them what Governor Ben Ayade is doing and elicit further support from them; which they have granted.”

The Information and Orientation Commissioner reminded the people that for herself and the Commissioner for Social Housing, Mr. Okokon Edem Effiom to have come from Atimbo West and be made Commissioners, among other appointees, are tangible reasons for the people to be supportive. She promised that Atimbo West Ward and Akpabuyo at large shall continue to enjoy State Government’s presence and goodwill.

The Commissioner reassured the people that the proposed cottage industry, which would be cited in Akpabuyo and many other projects when completed, will provide jobs for the teeming youths of the area, urging them to brace themselves up for the opportunities that the Ayade-led administration is making possible.

The event which had in attendance, the Ward Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Atimbo West, Mr. Edet Etim Nyong, Ward Executive, Women Leaders and other stakeholders, climaxed with sharing of bags of rice, drinks and assorted gift items by the Commissioner, a praise and worship session, thanking God for His goodness towards the people of Atimbo West Ward.
