Following his commitment to ensure every Cross Riverian enjoy quality and affordable healthcare services, the Governor of Cross River State, Prof. Ben Ayade has launched 60 Tricycle Ambulances.
The Tricycle Ambulances is procured to deliver effective healthcare in rural and hard to reach areas of the State, specifically, the Primary Healthcare Centres.
Speaking, the Executive Director of National Primary Health Care Development Agency, NPHCDA, Dr Faisal Shuaib lauded governor Ayade for what he's doing in the health sector.
He said, "Governor Ben Ayade is the only governor in Nigeria that has matched Mr President commitment to primary health care development. He has built primary health centres within 72hours.
"We are proud to identity with the work you have done in renovating over 100 primary health care centres, providing solar power and other essential equipment for primary health care development."

Dr. Shuaib was led by the State's Commissioner for Health, Dr. Inyang Asibong and the Director General of the State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Betta Edu, and conducted round the State.
According to Dr Edu, the Executive Director and all the Executive Heads of States' PHCDA in Nigeria in their two days visit will inspect some Primary Healthcare facilities in Calabar to see the Ayade magic and learn good practice from Cross River State.
