PHC REVITALISATION: CROSS RIVER STATE TO PLAY HOST TO EXECUTIVE SECRETARY OF NPHCDA AND OTHER HEADS OF PRIMARY HEALTH CARE IN NIGERIA
In line with the National focus of revitalizing Primary Healthcare across the states in Nigeria as a veritable tool to achieving universal health coverage, the Executive Director of National Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Faisal Shaiub will be on a two days working visit to Cross River State on the 13 to 14th November, 2018.
According to Director General of Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Betta Edu, while in the state the Executive Secretary will be lead by the Honorable Commissioner for Health Dr Inyang Asibong and the entire health team in the state to pay a courtesy call to the Executive Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency, Senator (Prof) Ben Ayade on Tuesday 13th of November at Exco Chamber around 10am.
She called on all PHC Coordinators especially from Southern part of the State, Head of facilities and PHC Workers to come out en mass and give a rousing welcome to the Head of Primary Healthcare in Nigeria and all the Heads of Primary Health Care agencies in Nigeria.
Dr Edu said the Executive Director and all the Executive Heads of state PHCDA in Nigeria will inspect some Primary Healthcare facilities in Calabar to see they Ayade magic and learn good practice from cross River state as Cross River remains a leading example in Nigeria
The Secretary will be accompanied by 36 Heads of State Primary Healthcare Development Agency and FCT in Nigeria to the Canaan city of Calabar.
She noted that all development partners and other health stakeholders have been informed and will also be part of the meeting with the State Governor on Tuesday.
