National Association of Ugep Urban Students Worldwide (NAUUS-WW) Honours Matthew with a Golden Patron award



The Chairmanship aspirant of People Democratic Party Engr. Matthew Fidelis Bassey has been awarded with the Golden Award as Patron of National Association of Ugep Urban Students Worldwide (NAUUS-WW) for his outstanding contributions to the Socio-political and academic advancement of the Ugep Community and His willingness to patriotically support NAUUS-WW to achieve her fundamental objectives.

The President of this Noble association during the presentation said the choice of Engr. Matthew was arrived at after a careful and painstaking appraisal of his achievements and contribution to the his community that earned him a noble title of Obol Mgbongha 1 ( meaning the chief of enlightenment).

President added that Engr Matthew had set the record in human development and interventions in education by sponsoring students to register for West African Examination Council (WAEC).

Sir, this solid and sound achievements have continued to speak volumes of your capacity and we are sure that if you are voted into office today, the students will smile throughout your stay in office.

In responding, Engr. Matthew Fidelis Bassey said I  accept this honour wholeheartedly as a Golden Patron and I promise to continue to contribute to the development of Ugep, Yakurr, Cross River State and Nigeria in general.

Matthew added that the students should study hard and continue from the leadership of today.

Thank you for honouring me and the God I serve will honour you all, He added.
