C'River Anti-Tax law: Victor Ndifon Advocates for Youth Council involvement in the implementation process
The Secretary, National Youth Council of Nigeria, in Cross River State, Comrade Victor Ndifon has called on the Chairman of the recently inaugurated Cross River Anti-Tax Agency, His Lordship, Bishop Dr. Emah Isong to as a matter of necessity involve the youths of Cross River state in the implementation process of his Agency's mandate.
Ndifon, who noted this during a breakfast talkshow on the air waves of Canaan 99.5FM said the National Youth Council of Nigeria which is the umbrella body for all youth activities is visible, active and effective in all the 18 local Governments areas in the State and thus should be put to good use in the implementation of the mandate of the Anti Tax Agency.
Pouring encomiums on the Governor for the wisdom and foresightedness exhibited in the creation of an agency that is tilted towards fighting for the poor and the most vulnerable in the society as exemplified in its mandate which is to ensure that small businesses like taxi drivers, petty trading, do not pay Tax, comrade Ndifon however, noted that the businesses affected by the tax exemption are mostly manned by youths in the state. In his words ,"Youths constitute the majority of people in the state running small and medium scale enterprises" . He believes this is another attempt by the Ayade administration to alleviate the sufferings of young people."
He therefore, appealed to the Anti-Tax agency to avail themselves of the robust structure of the Cross River State Youth Council in the implementation of of their mandate.
Comrade Victor Ndifon is a front runner for the office of state chairman in the forthcoming National Youth Council of Nigeria, Cross River State Chapter. Full of experience ideas and innovation. A University lecturer and a man with Cross River youths at heart, who has helped developed Cross River youths at various fora and platform.
