C’River Assembly Speaker Extols Ayade’s Giant Strides in Five Years
The speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Eteng Jonah Williams has felicitated with the Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency, Sir Ben Ayade on his fifth year anniversary in office.
In a goodwill message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Hope Obeten to commemorate the anniversary, Williams noted that the Governor so far has done creditably well.
“It is five years of uncommon strides in a continuous harvest of democratic deliverables, touching lives and improving on the landscape; five years of steady infrastructure upgrade; five years of Agro-industrialization; five years of unbroken leadership in macro-economic development.
“Your Excellency, you have looked beyond the size of the state pocket in executing massive projects across the 18 local government areas of the state in the best interest of the citizenry. You are in fact a living proof of the saying ‘when you put your problems above your body, your soul will follow.’
The Speaker further described the Governor as a compassionate leader and a great achiever.
According to the Speaker, “As lawmakers, we are proud of your achievements and we will continue to be committed to the rule of law, economic development and value added decisions for our dear state. As always, we look forward to an ever increasing cordial relationship with the executive and judicial arms of the state government in moving the state forward.
“On behalf of the Honorable Members, Cross River state House of Assembly, I wish to join millions of Cross Riverians within and outside the state to congratulate you for your visionary leadership in the past five years. We are one big family and will continue to support your administration”, he said.
