Dr Ekpenyong and Team Set To Train Health Workers Across The State Through "Zoom"

The Director General ,Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency,Dr Janet Ekpenyong has kick started a test run of the online training program for staff in the agency on ways of managing the Covid19 pandemic which is to commence in the coming weeks.

The team which comprises 180 participants of 36 States heads of Primary Healthcare Agency,Local Government Agency representatives,representatives of the Nigerian Medical Association, National Primary Healthcare Development Agency,paediatrics Association of Nigeria and Community Health Practitioners will interact and adopt various approaches to curb the spread of the covid19 pandemic as peculiar to the LGAs.

The actual training is set to commence within a week before a follow up training involving Local immunization Officers,State coordinators,State Cold chain officers ,staff of lower cadet and the general staff strength to spread the message and guidelines to managing covid19 and other infectious diseases.

As of today,May 15th 2020,Cross River State alongside Kogi are the only 2 states without a known and confirmed case of Covid19 as many commentators have hailed the efforts of the Director General, Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency for deploying staff to all of the hard to reach areas in the state including border towns and communities.
