Agoi Ibami students seek stronger ties with Rt. Hon. Eteng Jones Williams


Yesterday 30th July 2018 a delegation of the  Agoi Ibami students worldwide paid a courtesy call to Rt. Hon. Eteng Jones Williams in his office at House of Assembly complex Calabar, Cross River State.

The purpose of the visit according to the President Comrade Great Bassey is to enhance the cooperation between the students body and their Rep.

Great Bassey used the opportunity to list out the challenges faced by Agoi Ibami community, ranging from uncompleted road, uncompleted electrification, lack of class rooms for studies, bad waters and open deification.

Responding to them Rt. Hon. Eteng Jones Williams expressed his delight for their visit especially as they are representing a student body and promised to look into their complaints especially in class rooms that's a major challenge at Agoi, he assured that the SUBEB will construct a six class rooms block in Agoi Ibami through the intervention programme. He appealed for patience, saying that SUBEB Chair Dr. Stephen Odey would not rest until the school is achieved.

In the issue of water, Rt. Hon. Eteng assured that RUWATSSA will soon get to central senatorial district and each community will benefit from their service and Agoi Ibami will also benefit first in Yakurr II Constituency. With the motorized water drilling rig, Agoi Ibami will have a better water.

Finally, Rt. Hon. Eteng Jones Williams used the medium to emphasis on the need for youths across the state and Yakurr II Constituency to shun cultism and seek education as a means of liberating themselves from any form of oppression, discrimination and mental slavery.

The president, Great Bassey Thanks the Rt. Hon. and wish him success in his political ambition, promised him that the Agoi Ibami students worldwide are fully in support of him and will continue to pay their unalloyed support to him.

Great Bassey had with him,  Ettah Isaiah, Ettah Benson, Egong Ikip, Ayitu Ayitu and Christy Brown.
