As the people of Boki LGA celebrate the 2019 New Yam Festival today, Dr George Abang Ekpungu, the immediate past Commissioner for New Cities Development and an aspirant for Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency has joined worthy sons and daughters of Boki worldwide in the celebration of the cultural heritage.
Dr Ekpungu in his goodwill message to the great people of Boki, thanked God for sustaining the festival with bumber harvests.
According to him, this year's festival was a celebration of peace, love and unity in abundance.
He enjoined the good people of Boki to embrace peace and unity for a prosperous Cross River State and Nigeria.
The legal expert prayed to God to grant the farmers a bountiful harvest season.
