As we celebrate the resurrection of Christ so shall we celebrate a COVID-19 free state in Cross River at the end of this outbreak by Gods grace.
This will be the first and may be the only Easter in our lives that would be spent at home with almost all churches closed world over, not by choice but because the human race is faced with a strange pandemic!
Like our Dear Governor Sen Ben Ayade, a knight and a dedicated follower of Christ who has followed his foot step to sacrifice comfort, sleep and very lean state resources to see that Cross Riverians can sleep and our state can be shut out of COVID-19; in his words, He called on humanity to return back to seeking God, as that is the only way out of this challenging times!
As we celebrate Easter 2020, the world is united, we are united in fear of what tomorrow will bring, of not knowing if our societies will withstand the devastating impact of Coronavirus pandemic. The good news is Christ is resurrected! Christ resurrection comes with forgiveness, peace and restoration to humanity.
The love of Christ urges us to come as one state, one nation and pray, eulogise the saviour and seek for forgiveness of our sins. This love, seen in small and large gestures of hope and solidarity is calling us to a new future and a new way of living. Covid-19 knows no borders but neither do faith, hope and love of God.
In the darkness of this crisis, the light of Christ will shine, Jesus is truly risen!. May the risen Jesus continue to rise for Cross River state and all people around the world through his love. Let us pray to find the deeper meaning of this challenge that is facing the whole of humanity and which is calling us to faith and to resurrection.
The Government under the leadership of
His Excelleny, Senator Prof Ben Ayade will ensure that the effect of this pandemic does not negatively affect persons across the State. Food and other relief materials will be distributed to most households beginning from Tuesday. While the distribution of face mask and hand sanitizers is already on going with all our borders shut!

Don’t distance yourself from your Love ones socially. Reach out to them through as many mediums as are prescribed safe, Support others emotionally and together we will over come COVID-19
