The State Commandant of Peace Corps of Nigeria, Cross River State Command Patriot (Dr) Okweche Dominic, has lauded the efforts of the State Governor, Prof. Ben Ayade for his proactive approach in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic in the state.
Okweche gave the commendation during his tour to all catchment areas that the Peace Corps officers are enforcing the 'no mask, no movement' order of the State Government.
Commandant added that he is satisfied with the responses of Cross Riverian on ' no mask, no movement' order in the state, and plead the should continue to obey the directive of the government of the day for the betterment of all.
Okweche also commended the First Lady of Cross River State, Dr. Linda Ayade who “has continued to give her Husband , Prof Ben Ayade, the needed and necessary support that informed the successes achieved within this period of Covid 19 pandemic.”
The Peace Corps Boss further praised the Chairman of Covid-19 response Team who also double as Commissioner for Health, Dr. Betta Edu who has brought in her professional touch in fighting COVID-19 pandemic.
Commandant also salute the role played by all the COVID-19 Task force team in Cross River State, adding that everything will be alright soon.
Also getting the commendation of Peace Corps Boss were the law enforcement agencies, Civil defense, Police, Army and others who He said conducted themselves professionally to execute the State Government order on lockdown.
He urged the people of the State to continue adhering strictly to the precautionary measures put in place by the State Governor for the safety of their health and overall weal of the State.
