BE GOOD AMBASSADORS OF CR” – ARCHIBONG

BY EKAMA FERDINAND

The Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mrs. RoseMary Effiom Archibong has charged outgoing Corps Members to be Ambassadors of the Ministry and the State by informing others about the discipline and ideas they have learnt from the Ministry during their service year.

Mrs. Archibong who gave the charge during the send forth party organized by the Ministry for its out-gone 2017 Batch A, stream B Corps Members, recently at the conference room of the Ministry, congratulated the Corps Members for successfully completing their one year National Service.

The Commissioner emphasized that Cross River State has continued to remain one of the most hospitable destinations in Nigeria where investors can thrive and make more output in business.
She noted that in this era of global industrialization, the State is not left out as the Governor Ben Ayade led administration is deliberately using what is described as 'intellectual money', that is "thinking out of the box".

According to Commissioner Archibong, this involves using what is available to create such impact that will add value to the State to the extent where it will have multiplier effect on our neighboring States.

She pointed out that as young, vibrant graduates with high level certification, they need to expand their horizon by being self reliant, especially in this highly digitalized and competitive world where they are expected to put to use the experiences garnered during the service year and urged them not to compromise the unity of the country in the years ahead.

Mrs. Archibong tasked the Corps Members to be diligent and engage their intelligence in creative ideas that will make a difference in their lives as they step into the labour market, emphasizing that life would be more meaningful for them through creative and innovative endeavours.

In their separate responses, the out-gone Corps Members, Miss. Jennifer Agbosa and Mrs. Nicole Beji thanked Management and Staff of the Ministry of Information & Orientation for the discipline and spirit of hard work inculcated in them as well as the care, love and good will they have enjoyed from the beginning of their service year and assured that the knowledge will boost their moral, ethics and help them face the challenges ahead.
