Why I didn't wish former Gov. Imoke a happy birthday, Blogger explains

Cross River multi talented blogger and social commentator, Mr Efio-Ita Nyok, has revealed why he did not follow other Cross Riverians to felicitate with erstwhile governor of Cross River State, Senator Liyel Imoke on the occasion of his birthday.

Imoke's birthday is on the 10th of July and the social media space is already trending with goodwill and birthday messages from different groups and individuals within and outside the state.

However, for Nyok, the collapse of governance as currently witness in the state, which has led to crass failure in critical infrastructure between 2015 to date,  could be attributed to former governor Liyel Imoke, whom he alleged, pulled the strings that saw to the emergence of governor Ben Ayade in 2015. This, according to a statement posted on his facebook wall on Tuesday the 10th of July, 2018, is the reason he did not wish the immediate past governor a happy birthday.

The statement reads: ''Anytime I remember how gov. Ayade evolved into becoming the CEO of Cross River State, especially the gravely undemocratic high-handedness of then gov. Liyel Imoke during the PDP primary, sincerely, I find it difficult wishing him a happy birthday.

''The crass failure of critical infrastructure in the state between 2015-2018 is a testament to the genius in Imoke- is this what we are all wishing him a happy birthday?

''I don't wish him evil as a fellow human being; no, I can't do that- in fact, I wish him well; but, I find it difficult wishing him a happy birthday today!'', it concludes.
