CRSPHCDA warns health workers against falsifying immunisation data

Cross River State Primary Health Care Development  Agency (CRSPHCDA) has cautioned health workers in the State against falsification and manipulation of results or data of immunisation.

The Director General of CRSPHCDA, Dr Betta Edu , gave the warning while addressing workers being trained by WHO and UNICEF to go to field for  Immunisation quality assurance survey in the communities. Training held in Calabar on Tuesday.

Dr Edu said her agency would not tolerate the falsification of immunisation data across the State. She said Cross River State is amongd the best performing states with their results far higher than the national average. However as workers are sent into the field for quality assurance the must bring back the true report from the field. Everyone must report through ODK and GPRS so we know the exact location you are reporting from.

She tasked them to go into communities and health centres to find out what the true situation is using the check list and Geo ODK.

Earlier Speaking Mrs Grace Takon from WHO said the Routine Immunisation lot quality assurance sampling is a population based survey that can distinguish lots meeting, pre-set outcome target from those that do not have by using results of survey to inform decision making on corrective data.

Mr Ephraim Chukwu from UNICEF and Mrs Joy Chabo supported the training process and practical.
