ARMY AWARDS PEACE CORPS COMMANDANT IN CALABAR.



The Commanding Officer 146 Battalion, Nigerian Army, Eburutu Military Cantonment, Calabar Lt. Col. OG Olayinka has awarded the Commandant, Peace Corps of Nigeria, Cross River State Command,  Patriot (Dr.) Okweche Dominic for his selfless and humanitarian services to the society.

The award was presented at the barracks during the 2019 West African Social Activities WASA event.

WASA is a yearly ceremony organized by the Army to getting people from all tribes and personalities together to interact and familiarize with themselves towards  a harmonious coexistence.

Patriot Okweche, thanked the Army for finding him Worthy for the award. He appreciated the Commanding Officer for the bond and relationship that has existed  between the Army and Peace Corps in the State. It is a feat that is worth mentioning.

Highlights of the event featured tug of war, dance display and presentation of awards.
