The State Commandant Peace Corps of Nigeria, Cross River State Command Patriot (Dr.) Okweche Dominic has commended the State Governor Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade for appointing Hon. Signor Omang Idiege as Commissioner for Youths and skills Acquisition.
The Commandant expressed the appreciation during a courtesy call on the Honourable Commissioner and he enjoined all Youths to remain grateful to the Governor for the confidence bestowed on him.
He congratulated the Commissioner for the position well deserved and also stated his confidence on the Commissioner's abilities to perform effectively.
He went ahead to describe the commissioner as a Man of the people, Youths mobilizer and lover of Peace Corps of Nigeria.
We acknowledge and appreciate your extensive cooperation with the Peace Corps in Cross River State Command, starting from when you were a House of Assembly member till date and with no doubt we are sure you will continue to extend a hand of fellowship to the organization, since you are occupying a Youth ministry, Okweche added.
However, Okweche also informed the honourable Commissioner that Peace Corps of Nigeria is domiciled under the Federal Ministry of Youths Development and that is the reason why he would always identify with him for synergy.
The Commandant presented a customized congratulatory card with the Commissioner's image to him and decorated him with Peace Corps anniversary medal.
The permanent secretary in the ministry of youths and four other directors of the ministry who were present during the visit were coloured with the anniversary medals and pronounced as patrons/metrons of the Corps in the State.
Responding, The Commissioner opined that he is privileged to be familiar with the activities of the organization and promised to synergise with the organization as usual.
The commissioner also noted the doggedness and zealousness of the Commandant and how well he had piloted the affairs of Peace Corps in the State, had endeared him to the various successive governments.
Conclusively, the Commissioner assured the Commandant of a robust partnership throughout his stay in office.
