Determined to create a conducive and work friendly environment for staff in the Ministry of Youth Development and Skills Acquisition, the Commissioner, Hon. Signor Omang Idiege has commenced renovation of facilities in the office complex.
Hon. Signor Idiege who started with changing of all the broken doors in the Ministry, also ensured that the erstwhile moribund borehole is re-redug within the premises of the office complex to provide water for staff of the Ministry and other surrounding Ministries, noting that intensive renovation would still be carried out around the office complex but wants to ensure that the basics for the comfort of the entire staff is first and ultimately put in place.
Speaking while inspecting the plumbing works on the refurbished borehole, Hon. Signor Idiege intoned that there is nothing as refreshing as coming to work and having one of the basic human necessities which is water, adding that the office is where people spend most of their time on a daily basis and there is no harm if the basic facilities for a conducive working environment are put in place for the comfort of staff who are responsible for the productivity of the Ministry.
Appreciating the efforts of Commissioner Idiege, the Director, Finance and Supplies in the Ministry, Mrs. Ikwo Abu Eyo affirmed that it is a commendable effort as the borehole will serve the Ministry and other surrounding Ministries, Department and Agencies, whose staff hitherto go out of the office complex in search of banks and restaurants whose restrooms they can use when pressed. More encomiums were poured on the Honourable Commissioner by staff of the Ministry, for thinking of their comfort first before commencing major renovations.
