By Kingsley Agim
The Bogobiri Muslim Community in Calabar has expressed its unflinching solidarity for the Governor Ben Ayade-led administration and thumbed-up the giant strides of the present government in three years.
The Muslim Community made this known through one of its Clerics, Sheik Abdulfatai Hamza, on 25th May, during J'umat Service held at the Bogobiri Central Mosque, Calabar, to mark the 2018 Democracy Day Anniversary.
Sheik Hamza said as a service heralding Governor Ayade's three years in office and Nigeria's 19 years of unbroken democratic rule; it behoves the people to continue supporting and praying for Governor Ayade, the State and Nation at large for development, peace and harmony to thrive.
Hamza thanked the State Government for choosing the Bogobiri Central Mosque to host the J'umat Service this year, while urging Governor Ayade to continue with the job he is doing in the State.
In her remarks, the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mrs. RoseMary Archibong, who was represented by her Ministry's Director of Public Relations, Mr. Michael Nyajor, thanked the Bogobiri Muslim Community for hosting the J'umat Service and restated the State Government's commitment to deliver democratic dividends to the people of the State.
Mrs. Archibong maintained that Cross River will continue to ensure conduciveness for business and peaceful coexistence of Cross Riverians and residents alike.
The event featured special prayers for the State and Nation at large.
