The Cross River State Government has reiterated its commitment to provide quality healthcare delivery to the people of the state. The Director General of Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency on behalf of the Governor, Senator (Prof) Ben Ayade made this known when inspecting the newly built Mayne Avenue (Ekpo Abasi) Health Centre Building in Mayne Avenue, Calabar which is ready for commissioning.
The Ekpo Abasi Health Centre is built by Calabar South LGA for Primary Healthcare services approved by the State Governor , Senator (Prof) Ben Ayade who is very passionate about quality and accessible healthcare delivery to Cross Riverians.
Speaking, Dr. Edu said, the State Government, through its provision of world-class health facilities and programmes, including the Cross River State Health Insurance Scheme, is determined to ensure citizens do not lack modern medical interventions.
She lauded the HOLGA of Calabar South Mrs. Elemi for handling this life saving project that will benefit the entire Calabar South, and implores others to emulate her for the betterment of the society.
The HOLGA of Calabar South, Mrs. Christiana Elemi hinted that the project which started on the 6th of March, 2018 to help meet the health need of the community, will be commissioned by the Deputy Governor, Prof. Ivara Esu on behalf of the state government first week of July and calls on residents of the area to access the facility for healthcare services when commissioned.
