Rt. Hon. Orok Duke in line with Ayade's political ambition.
The 5th of June, 2018 recorded another memorable gathering where young persons from the southern senatorial district gathered at the Cross River State's stadium to pledge solidarity for Gov. Ben Ayade's return into office come 2019. The campaign backed by Rt. Hon. Orok Duke a former deputy speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly was all geared towards seeking more support from the people of the south in regard to the Governor's second term ambition. He (Rt. Hon. Orok Duke) said it is crystal clear that Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade has done well and as such deserves a return and it will be far easier for the south to govern when due if we pledge our unalloyed loyalty to the fulfillment of this course.
While speaking to the overly happy crowd, Sen. Prof Ben Ayade appreciated the organizer Rt. Hon Orok Duke for such a magnitude of crowd and said that his tenure has brought about "intellectual money" which means where the money isn't available, the intellect takes over and so far, it has brought about the magnificent projects taking place in Cross River State. I must emphasize that whatever my mind and hand is set to do will come to reality so I urge the good people of Cross River State to still believe in me for a second term he added. Just as salaries are being paid in time and on time, June's salary will be paid next week. Should in case there are still some educated youths who are unemployed, kindly meet the commissioners and House of Assembly representative of your constituency and submit your name for employment into government for i am more devoted to see young persons leading and surviving on their own than stay in hunger as my numerous projects would mean nothing if I watch people live in hunger for projects sake said Ayade. The Governor however, further familiarize with the people of the south as he encouraged all to hold firm to the motto *Ayade tu tu Mkpong" meaning "Ayade till tomorrow" or "Ayade for second term."
