Archibong Commends Pace of Work at Ogoja Rice Mill
The Commissioner for information and Orientation, Mrs. RoseMary Effiom Archibong has commended the speed of work going on at the Ogoja ultramodern rice mill.
The Information and Orientation Boss made the assertion when she recently led a team of journalists on a media tour of the northern and southern senatorial districts of the state.
Mrs. Archibong hailed governor Ayade undaunted stand towards industrializing the state, adding that the rice mill, among other gigantic projects of the Ayade- led administration, when completed will plunge the state into economic prosperity and an envy to other Nigeria States.
Conducting journalists round the mill, the site Engineer, Imaga Okori said personnel have been working assiduously to meet the Governor's target, adding that the project which
Is presently 70% complete, will be fully functional in four months' time.
Engr. Okori hinted that which will have features like clinic, security post, staff quarters, which had already been completed, would provide jobs over 2, 000 Cross Riverans.
He further stated that the mill apart from producing premium rice, will also produce rice flour and other useful by-products.
