WHY GOV. AYADE NEED TO BUILT A TEAM AHEAD OF 2019
Let me begin this piece with the words of Henry, F. and Kenneth H. "Individual commitment to a group effort--that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work." "Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships."
Indeed there is much to gain in teamwork and intelligence. Sadly, the reverse is the case in cross river state, as majority of the representative tend to focus more on self angradizement and traducement.
Cross river state in 2019 need to have a team that will work assiduously with the state government to attract Federal government presence to the state. This is what has been lacking among our representatives over time
People elected to represent the people at the national assembly tend to focus on personal benefit rather than the benefit of the generality of Cross riverians, unlike representative from other States, especially in the Northern part of the country who are ever ready to work together in making sure what is due for the state gets to the people
There seems to be a total lack of cohesion between our representatives when there is need to fight for what is meant for cross river state. This is noticeable in the inability of the state to retrieve money from the federal government that where used by previous administration to repair federal roads as against other States who have gotten the share of their returns. Often time, federal allocation meant to address the infrastructural deficit in the state end in the trash cans, as there is almost total lack of attention from our representative toward such budget and allocations
It will therefore be apt for the government and stake holders to built a formidable team fill with people of proven records, integrity and sincerity of purpose, intelligence, capacity and sagacity, as we approach 2019 to represent the people both at the house of representative and the Senate.
You will agree with me that the capacity of who we send to represent the people will determine the position the person will occupy in the house. Imagine sending a fresh graduate without exposure to represent the state at a conference in the midst of 4 professors from other States with exposure, what do you think will be the position of the young graduate representing your state in the midst of the professors? Your guess is as good as mine.
There is a common saying that; "Two good heads are better than one." Our representative must learn how to collaborate with others to achieve our common good. The lackadaisical and non chalant attitude of our representative toward projects meant to cater for cross riverians is a shameful aberration and cross riverians need to ponder about it, if we actually want to develop as a state.
One person I'll like to recommend into the team is Barr. Chris Agam Agara. Barr. Chris is one of the senatorial aspirant in central senatorial district. While some call him "Gara-Agam action", I call him "Mr. Capacity".
Barr. Chris is a father, Business man per excellent, Philanthropist, Politician, Peace ambassador, President of various
multi- purppse coperative. A teacher, civil servant, contractor etc.. A seasoned administrator and CEO of many outstanding companies in Nigeria and abroad.
He sees politics as a means to service to his people. he believes there's a need for a thorough understanding of the plight of the common man and woman in the central and it's environment/ society he wishes to serve.
Barr Agara is committed to address the challenges of neglect and poverty among the well endowed people of Central Senatorial District. He believes the people of central have massive an incredibly potentials to be truly the pride of cross river state.
His comportment undoubtedly sets him apart from the rest of the people. He exudes the calm, deliberate air of a polished and cultured man (Akpama, 2018)
The oil mogul venture into business and engagement both in public and private sector, within and outside the country, has provided him avenues to interact with the who and whos in Nigeria, as such will not be a challenge breaking through if he eventually represent the people at the upper house. His experience in both oil and agricultural sector is something to recon with. His fecundity, tenacity, humility, capacity and sagacity will help in bringing together other representatives for the good of the state. Above all he dreams big like Gov. Ayade and work assiduously toward actualizing them.
It is indeed important and imperative for the governor to built a team ahead of 2019, a team is not built after elections, to avoid fire in the fireman house.
