The sports administrator frowned at the neglect and abandonment by contractors towards their contracts, adding that should they have completed their contracts duly, the hosting right would not have been withdrawn from Cross River State.

Duke further told sports lovers and the good people of the State that the recent continental and international successes recorded by athletes in the State are a tip of the iceberg to the efforts his Commission, nay the State Government is making in sports development.

The Chairman hinted that before the commencement of world cup in June 14, a full-fledged bar will be commissioned for the viewing pleasure of soccer faithful; and also specially thanked MTN Nigeria for promising to build a state-of-the-art health facility at the stadium to take care of the health needs of athletes.
