UKPUKPEN’S DEATH, A HUGE LOSS TO THE STATE – ARCHIBONG
By Kingsley Agim.
The Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mrs. RoseMary Archibong has described the death of the Member representing Obudu in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Stephen Ukpukpen as a "huge loss to the State."
The Commissioner, in a release, said the shocking and untimely demise of the lawmaker has left her in utter incredulity.
"I am totally befuddled that the State has lost an intelligent legislator who was very passionate about this administration and the betterment of Cross River State at large," Mrs. Archibong lamented.
The Information and Orientation Boss bemoaned that Ukpukpen died untimely, especially when his legislative proficiency was needed most by the State.
Mrs. Archibong, on behalf of her family and the Ministry of Information and Orientation, condoled with Ukpukpen's immediate family, the Cross River State House of Assembly, his Obudu Constituency and indeed the entire State over his demise, while praying the Almighty to grant his family the fortitude to bear the tragic loss.
